Twitter is da bomb! At first, I did not want to know about people going to the store to buy milk, or feeling bluesy and whatnot-BUT now I am following the people and sites that I choose to follow and I am pretty pleased to say there are some very smart folk on there (well, the ones I choose to follow).
I like receiving breaking news from selected sites, as well as hearing about new products, or events that could be of interest to me. You are able to embed links to sites via TinyUrl.
I loved the play-by-play on the SF Torch run- it was like I was THERE and I live in Oregon! And, supposedly, it’s been known to save lives as well by having people post on upcoming storms and where they are and what they’ve experienced and perhaps places to avoid.
Love that it’s SHORT (only 140 characters allowed)- I recommend using Twhirl to check messages (Tweets) and leave Tweets- very interactive community, does get a bit distracting but I am an information monger so LOVE IT!!!
PLEASE TWITTER- don’t get too big for your britches and keep it organic
thanks for following up with me on that… I think I broke my browser – tried to watch a video on Google Vid and that didn’t work either. Perhaps I need to start the machine new. If that wouldn’t involve that much stress…. well – I’ll have to do so anyhow
Thus: I’ll catch up with you later on that issue.
All the best

Oh yeah… damn – forgot to comment on the post its self… sorry, almost 30 so I’m allowed to forget about things
My opion about twitter (as being a member myself) is that it’s a pretty good tool to keep up with friends. And – while you mention it – I just now got hooked up with thwirl and thus have a comparingly simple time keeping up.
Especially interesting was a post I read earlier today by Carter (forgot his last name) who had written about fire departments etc. utilizing Twitter to keep the public informed about their work. And of course the press for their job etc. etc.
Bottom line: COOL invention! And hope that it’ll keep up its good work.

I love Twitter because I really do feel like I am getting to know people. Not only with friends and teachers in my school but also people around my state and farther. I go to Unversity of Georgia and I am friends on Twitter with a lot of people who are at GA Tech. It’s really fun to hear what they are doing and feeling connected to that school even though they’re an hour away.
It is also great because once I got a good group of people to follow with the same interests as me, I get lots of article suggestions and other information that I wouldn’t have heard about otherwise.
I got introduced to Twitter about a month ago and I’m a confirmed addict. Mind you, I can stop anytime! LOL!
Actually, it’s been a very cool tool to meet some fab people, network, feel connected with other online entrepreneurs/bloggers/writers throughout the day even though I work solo. It’s the most interactive and “for real” social network I’ve ever been a part of.

Twitter is the best way to get meeting like minded people, build relationships and have some fun every invented.
When I started adding a lot of interesting people and listening to what they have to share, I started to get more and more results.
We are writing a book called Twitter Handbook to help those who haven’t “got it” yet and the millions more that will be coming to Twitter.
Love the questions you ask. I will refer to you in our handbook blog and hope to twitterview you for the book
