I agree that about 80% are not connecting. I LOVE Twitter and am going to look into the others you mentioned. I try to follow everybody that follows me. I just had to delete two because they sent way too many posts. One was just random posts one right after the other and the other was a continual posting of their website. That caused other posts from other people to get lost and I didn’t like that. I think it is great because (as I mentioned in another reply) you do make more of a personal connection.

Hey Adam! this is awesome that you’re helping others to really learn the value of social media tools. Networking is not a one way street whether conducted in person, on Facebook, Twitter or Linked In. It is a give and take. Tweet you later!

Great job as usual Adam. As a recruiter, I connect with people all the time…I concur, people will respond!

Hey Adam, love your blog. And I found you on Twitter. What you’re talking about is exactly why I’ve found Twitter to be so powerful. If you don’t use it properly, it sits uselessly on your computer. Used well, it’s this amazing connector to incredible people and a door opener to real relationships.
It helps to have peeps like you reminding everyone what it’s really all about!
